Buying Contact Lenses Online is Easy!

THE CONTACT LENS PRESCRIPTION

The Contact Lens Prescription will always contain the following:

•  The date - Contact Lens Prescriptions are valid for one year. If a contact lens prescription has expired, pop into your Optometrist who will check that your eyes are healthy and issue a new prescription. This is free under Medicare and normally takes only a few minutes .

•  Your Name.

•  The fact that it is a contact lens prescription

•  The lens brand and replacement schedule

•  The lens specifications - This will contain:

• R Base Curve / The Diameter / The Power
• L Base Curve / The Diameter / The Power

If the specification contains more than this, contact us and we will check your prescription.

A soft lens will always have a diameter of about 14 mm. A hard lens will always have a diameter of about 9.5 mm.

Disposable contact lenses require only a multipurpose solution to rub and rinse the lenses each night. We advise you buy a three month pack of solutions.

For Standard Soft or Hard Contact lenses, a daily cleaner, a soaking solution and protein tables are required. Protein Clean Soft lenses every 2 weeks, Hard lenses every month.

All this is written on the prescription.
